On June 24, 2025, students from the Department of Swarm Intelligence and Digital Twin, Saveetha School of Engineering, participated in an Industrial Visit to DigiAura VFX Academy, a premier training academy in Visual Effects and Virtual Production.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to explore the growing intersection of technology and creativity within the VFX industry. The session began with a warm welcome from the DigiAura team, followed by a tour of the facility and an introduction to the various departments involved in VFX production.
The highlight of the visit was an inspiring session led by Mr. Shankar Natarajan, and Mr. Stalin delivered insightful presentations on the current trends, tools, and career paths in the VFX industry. They shed light on how students from technical backgrounds, particularly in Swarm Intelligence and Digital Twin technologies, can contribute significantly to the evolving fields of virtual production, simulation, and real-time rendering.
Their presentations included real-world project examples and demonstrations, offering students a clear view of how engineering and creative technology complement each other in media and entertainment. The session also focused on career guidance, with an overview of DigiAura’s online and offline VFX training programs, including Rotoscoping, Paint, Tracking, Rotomation, and Compositing.
The visit concluded with an interactive discussion and Q&A session. DigiAura VFX Academy appreciates the active participation of Saveetha students and faculty and looks forward to future collaborations.
